We are very proud to take on the position as the new West Virginia District LTD (Leadership Training Division) Trainers and have high hopes for the program.  We plan on visiting all of the WV chapters and offering seminars from the LTD sections.  We have been given a goal from the National Office to offer seminars in one of the sections and we plan on doing so soon, so look for us to coordinate with all of the Chapter CD’s on these.  There are many interesting and different seminars being offered and even though they are not on safety, like many of the Rider Education seminars, they are still very useful and fun.  One of the most interesting and helpful seminars that we like to teach is the Newsletter seminar.  It has a lot of information for the Chapter Newsletter Editors.  If you have any questions about how to put together a competitive newsletter, this would be the seminar to take.  We are also planning on putting together a Horizon’s course for all chapter officers and members.  There is a lot of information regarding leadership and running a successful chapter and about just being a successful member of a chapter.  We took this program when we became the Chapter I CD’s and learned a lot about leadership and chapter structure.  All of the chapters in West Virginia are different but many of the items in the LTD seminar program can pertain to all of them in one way or another.  These seminars break the monotony of boring seminars; they have a lot of interaction involved in the seminar process.  Consider participating in these seminars either as a whole chapter or as an interested individual, you may find out something that you may not have known about GWRRA before you’re joined.

            The LTD program is a lot like the MED (Membership Enhancement Division) program because we like to have fun and learn at the same time.  Many of these seminars may sound boring but they are very interactive and fun, and you may not know what you could learn about fellow friends and members – it could be very eye opening!!  Come and join in the fun by taking an LTD seminar coming soon to your area.  We are here to make your GWRRA membership fun and informative as well as educational.
