TRAVELING PLAQUE RULES 2012 |
|
Remember that the traveling plaque is meant to get
members out to visit other chapters and to have fun in
the process. We are members for Fun and this is not a
life or death matter. We need to get moving and enjoying
other Chapters for what they have to offer. We would
like to see every chapter on the traveling plaque and
remember it is not how you get there but that you are
there. Everyone enjoys seeing their fellow members. Try
visiting and you will be surprised at the greeting you
get at other Chapter's meetings. Have fun and enjoy your
membership! |
| |
1. To capture the traveling plaque, each person
is counted as a member of their respective chapter
including District Staff and there will be no minimum.
|
| |
2. Each Chapter will add a chapter visitation bar
to the visitation head pin each time the Chapter
captures the plaque. |
| |
3. The Plaque cannot be captured by the Chapter
that last had the plaque. It must be captured by another
Chapter unless there is no other chapter present at the
meeting or event. This will prevent the plaque from
bouncing between Chapters. |
| |
4. The Plaque must be awarded within the first 5
minutes of the beginning of the meeting or event. |
| |
5. The Chapter director holding the plaque must
have the plaque available for capture at regular monthly
meetings or any Chapter function except a staff meeting.
Christmas dinners are excluded. The Chapter with the
plaque must notify the district director within 24 hours
of capture and advise the District Director of upcoming
events. If the chapter fails to notify the District
Director they will forfeit the right to place a bar on
the plaque. |
| |
6. Miles will be calculated by the chart that is
selected at the Operations meeting times the number of
members from your chapter to equal total miles. Ex.
Chapter T travels 125 miles and has 10 members present
for a total of 1250 miles, and Chapter S travels 90
miles and has 15 members present for a total of 1350
miles. Therefore, Chapter S would take home the plaque.
In case of a tie the Chapter traveling the farthest
would take home the plaque. Each motorcycle ridden to
the event will count as 10 miles toward the total
mileage. |
| |
7. A drawing will be held at the District
Operations Meeting to determine which of the capturing
Chapters will get to keep the plaque. A Chapter will
receive one chance for each bar that is on the plaque.
The chapter with the most bars on the plaque will be
awarded a $100 check for their treasury. |
| |
8. The new plaque will begin at the chapter that
last captured it. Chapter bars will be placed by
Chapters capturing the plaque. Therefore, the Chapter
that has the plaque first will not place a bar on the
new plaque. |
